By Dalai lama Child labour is now becoming under the human rights issue for the whole world. it is the most heinous crime for mankind. A child is the future of any country.

He /she should get proper education ,development.growth,mental ,moral & physical care that he/she can able to make himself /herself perfect for the world and can be able to stand as a citizen for this country. Now they are getting only exploitation and tortured. child labor is now becoming a serious and extensive problem to solve it out, with under children the age of 14, 15 if they are working in that dangerous coal mines, carpet making factories, glass making factories they made these materials with their bare little hands. This is called child labour.Instead of getting proper growth, development & study they are getting this hazardous life.

United Nations considered child labour as state parties recognize the right of the child to be protected from the economic exploitation and from performing any work that is likely to be hazardous or to interfere with the childs education or to harmful to the Childs health, or physical mental or moral or social development.

Causes:

Lack of awareness about these harmfulness of children, ignorance, illiteracy they don’t have basic knowledge that it may cause death for them. Due to many reasons they have to do these types of work, due to poverty lack of money in their family they have to earn for their family members. Suppose in a family they are 6 members and only one of them is working then it becomes impossible for the person to carry or feed all the family members. If any boy child or girl child is there in the family then the parents send them for work in anywhere, whether in a tea stall or at someone’s home, to do some house hold works, this is called child labour. “child abusing is itself a crime”

Many of them has to be sent to city from villages, few parents forced their daughter to go outside for work and more money.

A girl who is in kolkata now from 5 long years, her story is that she is the only girl in her family, they are 6 members in her family, her parents can not able to feed all the family members, along with that her father is a drunker, they both are unable to fulfill the need of their family so they sent their daughter in city for money, The girl did not want to come but she had to because of her family. she was just 10 years old when she came in kolkata the age of playing and studying. but she was doing such tough work there. this types of incidents are regularly happening in village sides, due to their family background, greediness for money, this is more nostalgic and painful.

But some of them are happy with this because for this they have come to know the city life, another world. which was out of their imagination. their family can not affords these things, a proper life, education, growth.these people who have brought them from village to town life. they will work as well as they are getting proper developments.

The basic problem is not with the children or with their parents but the main problem is in our system, distribution of wealth, someone is having everything, but someone is nothing, the government are making laws in their constitution but not a single one is working practically. implementation of law is very much necessary for a ideal country.

Girl child are getting more tortured by all this. this is a law against child labour.for gender discrimination and child health the health minister has made many laws.Unicef and media are playing a very major role in this issue Media is broadcasting many TV serials to opposed child labour and to spread awareness to the common people regarding this issue, many advertisements and many programmes based on child labour.Unicef has given all the rights to the Childs .

Thousands of children specially girls are the victims of trafficking both within India and across Borders. Several NGO s are working on child rights have repeatedly proposed child budgeting within the overall budget. some like HAQ child rights centre annually.Scrutnise budget papers to evaluate the governments financial commitments to the children’s.

11th five year plan from what it was in the 10 th corresponding period saw starting revelations about the nutrition and safety of Indian children. so that they can live a happy and healthy life. Childs development should be in our rights. This is not only a duty or a responsibility for our government but as well as for every citizen of our country to give a health and proper life to every children. We should take an oath that we will come forward to eradicate the disease of child labor from our country which makes our country handicapped.
